Msobomvu Police arrested a 36 year old man for alleged rape of his former girlfriend aged 32. It is alleged that the victim was relaxing at her flat alone on Friday 04 January 2019 at about 20h00 at Phase One, Zizamele Township, Butterworth.

The suspect arrived and accused the victim of having a love affair with another man. It is alleged that the suspect started to accost the victim and later raped her. The victim opened a rape case against the suspect and Msobomvu Police reacted swiftly as they traced and arrested the alleged perpetrator. The suspect will appear before the Butterworth Magistrate Court on Monday 07 January 2019 on a rape charge.
