Limpopo Health MEC saves lives on N1

Phophi Ramathuba, MEC for Health in the Limpopo province, is fast challenging Phanyaza Lesufi for the “title” of “National MEC of the Year”. This is an appreciative accolade that social media users give to the hardest working public representatives.

When Ramathuba came across yet another horrific accident on the N1, she quickly shed the political cloak and became the medical doctor that she trained to be.

Seconds, not even minutes, can be the difference between life and death for accident victims. Therefore, timely intervention is critical.

President Cyril Ramaphosa coined the now famous service deliver clarion call dubbed Thumamina, and it is this spirit of servitude which makes citizens proud of their elected representatives.
