Police in Gauteng say they have deployed extra resources, including the Anti-Gang Unit following a shooting on Friday in Eldorado Park.

Five people have been killed since Friday in Eldorado Park and Westbury in suspected gang violence. Two others were taken to hospital.

Police say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths and no arrests have been made yet.

In a statement, police spokesperson, Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says provincial commissioner, General Elias Mawela has deployed the resources to work on the cases which have been plaguing these communities for years now.
